We are in search of a talented individual to fill the role of Design Sourcing Specialist for a global luxury brand. As a Design Sourcing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the seasonal collections by sourcing and developing fabrics and trims.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing:
Stay updated on new fabric and trim technologies globally
Identify and research suitable suppliers to maintain a competitive edge
Ensure pricing reasonably across raw materials
Attend sourcing meetings with the Design Room Manager and summarise discussions
Coordinate seasonal design meetings for fabrics and trims, summarising key points via email
Maintain fabric and trim trackers, including sampling liabilities and order cancellations.
Development:
Coordinate artwork submissions and manage fabric/trims setup in AP21
Establish intellectual property agreements and handle legal filings
Track testing reports and address concerns promptly
Manage raw material orders, deliveries, and fabric allocations
Ensure accurate cut sheets and support sample room flow
Fabric & Trim:
Create and maintain an accessible system for storing sourced materials
Manage the filing of fabrics and trims, including seasonal sourcing updates
Prepare seasonal fabric headers and trim/fabric folders for production handover
To excel in this role, you should possess:
A dynamic and energetic personality
Exceptional organisational skills with keen attention to detail
Ideally, a tertiary education in Fashion and/or Textiles
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
Strong knowledge of fabrics and trims with a passion for fashion
Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
