Designer - Graphic Designer

Our client is a market leader in licensed and branded apparel looking to recruit a Designer / Graphic Designer to join their team. They are seeking a candidate who is creative, with strong graphic design skills in photoshop and illustrator. Working with International brands and major Australian retailers, you will have an exceptional eye for detail!

The successful candidate will report to the Account Manager to develop and design licensed apparel mood and storyboards. You must possess the ability to drive fashion forward yet commercial trends, designs, and be driven, motivated, with the ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Researching key trends, shapes, colour palettes to create mood boards that direct each season.
• Designing storyboards of product in Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Graphic design including creating yardage and placement prints.
• Liaising with production department and garment technicians on executing designs.

This position requires an applicant with the following skills

• Strong graphic design skills in Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Tertiary Education in Fashion Design or Graphic Design.
• Previous experience as a Designer or Graphic Designer in apparel and/or licensed apparel preferable.
• The ability to research and present key up-coming fashion trends.
• The ability to design creatively within licensor brands requirements.
• A knowledge of garment manufacture, fabrications and print types. The ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic team atmosphere.
• Must be self motivated, organised and have a positive attitude.
