Job Description

You will be motivated to lead your team of sales and category managers to achieve set business initiatives and associated bottom line targets. The company has an international presence across all categories, represented in the high-end apparel space the primary remit in this role will be to train, coach lead and mentor a talented team of high performing category and channel managers, working closely to assist them expand their designated categories. You will be adept at identifying new opportunities and areas for growth and approach the sales process strategically in collaboration with your team.

Your primary areas of accountability will be:

And specific responsibilities will include:

  • Achievement of agreed revenue and business objectives - sales targets and profit across all product lines
  • Lead, coach and motivate a sales team through your appropriate direct reports
  • Develop appropriate sales strategies with each key account
  • Build, manage and maintain good relations with all internal business groups to ensure sales maximisation
  • Building and developing positive and effective key relationships with external buyers and merchandise teams
  • Work with Merchandise Planners to ensure stock control with regards to timely stock orders, rotation of styles, target costs etc
  • Assist management team in budgeting and forecasting sales targets by brand, category and territory
  • Ongoing tracking of all sales activities

Manage top tier accounts whilst overseeing and monitoring the wider account base and network

  • Research any competitor activity
  • Coordinate, monitor and report on line sales activity

You will be great at:

  • Analysing and understanding customer requirements and business processes
  • Ability to negotiate key merchandising space to deliver premium brand positioning
  • Interacting with Sales, Merchandise Planning and Marketing teams
  • Presenting complex solutions to customers at a conceptual level

You will have:

  • (We are open to) experience gained from within a multiple premium branded business category
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience in business, fashion preferred
  • A creative and strategic approach to sales
  • Credibility & maturity to work with customer representatives ranging in hierarchical structure
  • Ability to work as part of a dynamic team and in a team environment while possessing true leadership qualities
  • Strong negotiation skills to influence stakeholders
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • A proven track record at an executive level
