Job Description

Our client is a strong market leader within their sector and is in the early stages of a company wide transformation program. First steps have seen a 22% increase in Christmas trade with further growth in top and bottom-line results very achievable. 2019 will be a big year and one which you can play a major part of as you build customer experience, drive change, install retail disciplines, develop the team and maximise results through 6 regional managers and 61 stores.

The Position reports to the COO and will have full autonomy for all that happens in stores and the people within. Hence you will help develop future strategy, drive continuous improvement and change, lead from the front and be proactive in terms of sales calendar, VM, and building the team results through a real people culture that supports strong Retail and HR practises.

Ensuring the customer experience is consistently positive and combines a combination of service and interactive conversation - which are measured by dollar returns - are a key KPI.

You will be able to a demonstrate a record of achievement in a similar national role preferably in an environment of transformation or major change. You need to be a proactive leader, not a follower, results and sales target oriented and a true retailer who strives for exceeding customer service expectations and understands the levers and disciplines needed to make it happen. While all retail sector backgrounds will be considered those with Telco, Consumer Electronics, furniture, white/bulky goods experience are preferred.
