Product Developer/Designer

Our client is a multi-brand Accessories and Cosmetics business. They are seeking a Product Developer/Designer.

Reporting to the Category Manager - Own Brands, this role works across their own brand range and department store strategy. You will be working on product development and design across our own brands and partnered brands and working closely with suppliers on maintaining margin and pricing.

You will develop the seasonal product ranges for each brand from development through to completion. The product curation will be a combination of unique designed ranges and sourcing of product pieces to form brand collections.

Responsibilities will include:

* Sourcing new and innovative products and constantly being up to date on new designs, trends, materials, and styles.

* Develop differentiated ranges for each brand based on the brand personality, to ensure the successful sell through of each range

* Create and accurately manage product range plans with complete information for all styles.

* Define and execute the seasonal product range and strategic marketing plan for our product ranges from concept to completion

* Manage and drive the margins, profit, KPI's, sales budgets and targets across all brands and ranges

* Negotiate pricing on all products with suppliers to meet margin and retail price expectations

* Understand the market and customers clearly through conducting analysis and reports which enable you to quickly react to changing trends and use insights to influence product development and unlock growth

This position requires an applicant with skills in:

  • Passion for Accessories
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Able to evaluate situations and apply effective solutions to problems.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Reliable with strong attention to detail, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, proactively and contribute to a dynamic team environment.
  • Understanding and experience of the Retail environment would be beneficial.
