WOMENSWEAR DESIGNER - Knitwear & Tee's
Our client has taken the style set by storm with their amazing technical skills and innovative flare. Working as part of the Design team for this fashion brand you will be provided with the opportunity to utilize your highly developed, technical skills across the knitwear & tee's category to create fashion favourites.
Creating bold, expressive designs to reflect the essence of their core customers, your proven ability to identify and interpret market trends will ensure the brand's design signature is maintained and developed. As a valued Designer your aim will be to maintain the quality and craftsmanship on which the label has built its reputation.
Key responsibilities include:
:: Create/design the collection in-line with range brief and plan
:: Prepare technical sketches and design spec sheets and ensure they are in accordance with pattern room and production requirements
:: Perform market and trend research
:: Identify current local/international fashion trends
:: Effective plan of ranges to accommodate resources and timelines
:: Select fabrics in order to achieve the product objective and budgetary requirements
:: Coordinate the flow of activities from product conception to sample for timely and quality delivery to internal buying team
:: Styling and storyboard presentations
:: Attend product and fit meetings
:: Sampling
:: Research trips overseas
:: Liaise with offshore & local factories
The successful candidate will possess a degree in fashion design, advanced Photoshop/Illustrator skills and relevant experience (at least 3 years) ideally gained internationally as a truly creative Womenswear Designer.
