Buyer - Homewares & Furniture

Our client is an innovative homewares wholesaler looking to recruit a Buyer in Homewares & Furniture! You will be a team player with a can-do attitude and boundless energy. They are seeking a candidate with a strong passion for homewares & furniture products. The successful candidate will have a creative flair and an eye for appropriate product identification.

The Buyer is responsible for the effective and timely execution of sample reviews, range selection, supplier negotiation, costing, pricing, and order processing. The Buyer will participate in international trade shows, new product launches, promotional communications as well as showroom presentations!

The successful candidate will bring a strategic mind with an outstanding attention for detail. It is also essential for the Buyer to be experienced in building strong relationships with suppliers and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Product / Range Scoping and Development
• Quality Control
• Supplier Liaison and Administration
• Product Launch
• Range and Showroom maintenance
• Sales & Customer Service

This position requires an applicant with the following skills

• Computer literacy with advanced Excel
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal & problem solving skills
• 5 years' experience in Homewares / Furniture buying
