Job description
Our client is a market-leading retailer with over 25,000 people in store operations state-wide.
The Role
- Focus on increasing productivity within stores
- Assess opportunity and risk in order to minimise labour costs
- Coach and train Operations and Group Managers to drive effective labour performance
- Set up rosters for new/renewed stores
- Monitor KPIs relating to effectiveness and work closely with under-performing stores
- Time will be split between office and stores
- Great opportunity for future promotion within the business
The Candidate
- Strong operational experience, such as large-scale store or multi-site management background, in businesses with highly complex rostering systems - i.e. large supermarkets or QSR
- Excels at coaching, training and mentoring
- Solid financial and analytical skills - strong with Excel
- Able to communicate effectively with both store operations as well as at the executive level with corporate
- A self-starter who is able to set their own agenda, identify areas of opportunity/risk and decide where to focus
- Highly driven to advance career within the organisation
Essential Criteria
- Degree / Diploma in Business or related field
- Knowledge of EBA and State labour laws
- Solid understanding of the inner workings of Supermarkets or QSR
- Extensive experience in labour planning / rostering on a large scale
- Skilled in coaching and mentoring retail management
