THE ROLE
As Production Director, you will oversee the full lifecycle of apparel production, ensuring all products meet quality, cost, and timeline expectations. You will manage both local and offshore teams, implement robust production processes, and maintain strong supplier relationships. Fluent Mandarin is essential for effective communication with offshore partners. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on operational leadership, problem-solving, and making tangible improvements in a fast-paced environment.
Day-to-Day
- Lead end-to-end production operations from design handover to delivery.
- Manage and mentor local and offshore production teams.
- Communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking offshore suppliers and partners.
- Drive efficiency, quality, and cost management across all product lines.
- Implement and refine production processes to improve workflow and consistency.
- Ensure timelines, margins, and product standards are consistently met.
- Monitor supplier performance and negotiate where required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 6-8+ years in apparel production or fashion operations.
- Proven experience managing both local and offshore production teams.
- MUST HAVE: Fluent Mandarin mandatory for liaising with offshore suppliers.
- Strong commercial awareness: cost management, supplier negotiation, quality control.
- Leadership experience with the ability to influence and hold teams accountable.

SALARY
Base salary $150,000-$180,000 + Super, depending on experience.
