THE ROLE

As Production Director, you will oversee the full lifecycle of apparel production, ensuring all products meet quality, cost, and timeline expectations in a high-volume, fast fashion environment. You will manage both local and offshore teams, implement robust production processes, and maintain strong supplier relationships. Fluent Mandarin is essential for effective communication with offshore partners. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on operational leadership, problem-solving, and driving tangible improvements at pace.

Day-to-Day

• Lead end-to-end production operations from design handover to delivery
• Manage and mentor local and offshore production teams
• Communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking offshore suppliers and partners
• Drive efficiency, quality, and cost management across all product lines
• Create, own and manage the critical path, ensuring timelines are met across high-volume production cycles
• Oversee high SKU volumes and repeat order flow, ensuring speed and accuracy
• Implement and refine production processes to improve workflow and consistency
• Monitor supplier performance and negotiate where required

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• MUST HAVE: Proven experience in fast fashion, managing high volumes of new SKUs and repeat orders on a weekly basis
• MUST HAVE: Strong experience creating, as well as managing the critical path end-to-end
• MUST HAVE: Fluent Mandarin (essential) for liaising with offshore suppliers
• 6-8+ years in apparel production
• Proven experience managing both local and offshore production teams
• Strong commercial awareness: cost management, supplier negotiation, and quality control
• Leadership experience with the ability to influence, challenge, and hold teams accountable
• Ability to operate beyond surface level - confident owning detail across production, timelines, and process

SALARY

Base salary $150,000-$180,000 + Super, depending on experience
