This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment and is confident managing everything from factory relationships to raw material inventory and system improvements.
You'll work cross-functionally with internal teams (Product, Sales, Operations, and Marketing) and external partners (local factories, suppliers, agents) to ensure quality, timing, and cost objectives are met - all while contributing to new product development and process improvement.
THE ROLE
  • Manage all aspects of local production
  • Build strong, hands-on relationships with Sydney-based contract manufacturers
  • Conduct due diligence on new suppliers and support product development with new materials and fabrics
  • Oversee raw material management, inventory levels, and production forecasts
  • Ensure quality control is met across components and finished goods
  • Collaborate on range planning and timeline management for seasonal buying cycles
  • Work with internal stakeholders to meet delivery targets across multiple sales channels
  • Use systems like Indigo8 and digital tools to improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Monitor cost of goods and help identify ways to reduce costs over multiple production runs
  • Support sustainability goals by working with ethically aligned suppliers and partners
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • 5+ years' experience in production management (apparel, accessories, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of local manufacturing, raw materials, and supplier relationships
  • Experienced in systems (Indigo8 preferred) and open to using AI and tech tools
  • A self-sufficient operator who is highly organised and deadline-driven
  • Great at negotiation, cost control, and problem-solving
  • Collaborative, level-headed, and curious about other parts of the business
  • Strong attention to detail - especially important for international markets with high QC standards
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced business with evolving product lines and tight timelines
