Reporting into the Head of Product, the key function of this role is to design & develop boyswear product & styles with a key focus on sustainability, using global trends and your product knowledge & experience to ensure the label is always on brand and fitting the customer profile.
Independent and self-motivated you will be responsible for designing & developing a range of merchandise capable of achieving strong customer response.
Managing a combination of local and offshore production activities you will be required to have strong organisational skills to ensure effective and smooth management of all key responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities Include:
:: Identify key seasonal trends relevant to the brand and customer profile
:: Design & development of all styles
:: Strategic merchandise direction to maximise profitability
:: Recognise the merchandise philosophy & ensure it is maintained in all range planning decisions
:: Meet the deadlines associated with the release of seasonal ranges
:: Trend forecasting/overseas buying trips
:: Oversee fittings and sampling process
:: Range presentations
Key Experience & Qualifications:
:: Extensive knowledge of working within kidswear as well as fabrications & garment construction
:: Strong problem solving abilities
:: Strong foundation in PC & MAC software visual/interface design using Adobe CS suites.
This role requires excellent communication and relationship building skills; as well as proven experience in apparel product developing/designing with a successful result record.
