Job Description

Buyers Admin Assistant

Our client is one of Australia's leading fashion accessories businesses, interpreting trends for kids & womenswear.

Reporting directly to the Team Leader, the Buyers Admin Assistant works closely with
The buying team, providing critical administrative support and assistance where necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Raising & tracking of Purchase Orders
  • Creation of SKUs and card numbers
  • Updating Buyers WIP's,
  • Communicating with both domestic & international suppliers and retailers
  • Liaising with Buying, Planning, Shipping and Graphics Departments to ensure the Critical Path is maintained.
  • Provide feedback of competitor activities and visit their stores regularly

This position requires an applicant with skills as follows:

  • Highly motivated and organised self-starter with initiative
  • Willingness to learn all facets of the Buying process from the bottom up
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Focused, hands on, and possess the ability to make things happen
  • Adaptable and confident with strong communication skills
  • Working experience with Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint


  • Previous retail/wholesale experience
  • Administration experience
  • Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop skills
  • Tertiary study relating to Retail or Buying
