Our client is a luxury global womenswear brand. They are looking for a Designer to assist in the creation and development of seasonal swim/resort collections. You will be an integral part of the design team, helping to bring creative concepts to life under the guidance of the Creative Director.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in all stages of the design process, from initial concept to final collection delivery, working alongside the Creative Director.
Conduct in-depth research to generate creative ideas and contribute design input for seasonal collections.
Create hand sketches and technical drawings to support pattern makers and the production team.
Participate in fittings and collaborate with the Senior Design Director and patternmakers to ensure designs meet quality and brand standards.
Help develop seasonal artwork in collaboration with the Textile team.
Work closely with textile designers on print creation and presentations.
Assist with tasks related to the development and production of sample ranges for press and sales.
Requirements:
A degree in fashion design from a reputable institution (Australian or international)
At least 5 years of experience working with a high-end designer brand.
A strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and finishing details.
Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Excellent technical drawing skills.
