Job Description

Our Client - Leading Australian Womenswear Designer

The Finance Manager is responsible for managing and reporting the financial information and to undertake a range of accounting and administrative activities.


  • Generating accurate monthly financial reports covering bank reconciliation, trial balance, balance sheet, profit and loss, cashflow statements, budgets and any other reports as required.
  • Monthly report for Executive Management relating to company finances, including interpretation of the financial and outline any highlights, pending problems or opportunities.
  • Create yearly and monthly budgets; prepare monthly reporting to executive management against budget.
  • Administer and oversee the ERP system financial controls, to ensure company policies and user rules are adhered to.
  • Key business system administrator and system leader of the department, able to understand, troubleshoot, make recommendations and improve functionality across business systems.
  • Key member of the businesses Process Improvement Committee, able to put forward valuable and well articulated process improvements for the business
  • Manage asset register for new capital equipment, depreciation, and disposals.
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable .
  • Oversee and assist in accounts payable management
  • Ensure accounting standard and policies are adhered to.
  • Assist in process improvement and system enhancement initiatives.
  • Create and maintain efficient filing system for all financial matters, both current and past

Required Skills

  • CA or CPA Qualification
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in similar position
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • System savvy with great broad system skills, ability to become the go to super user of ERP system and any future system implementations
  • Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to take initiative

Your background has been within the fashion, retail or beauty sectors, preferably in a similar role that incorporates much of the above.
