Job Description


The position reports into the CEO and involves mentoring/leading a Head Office team of professionals.

This innovative retailer is looking for a GM to coordinate the operations across Product Development, Production, Sales, Marketing and Finance

This is a strategic yet hands-on role most suitable for someone with a desire to lead
all budgetary, strategic and operational components. Being a pivotal role within the company they require an extremely motivated, dynamic and proactive individual who can identify with the product and understand the customer base in order to ensure the business is continually improving.

Key Responsibilities Include
:: Provide a customer-focused, market-driven approach to strategic planning (know your customer, understand changing market variables)
:: Develop Brand and Business plans in line with the corporate planning cycle
:: Involved in the achievement of growth targets and the overall financial performance of the Brand/Business
:: Responsible for setting financial performance of the business portfolio
:: Develop processes and range plans to ensure efficiencies in the design, development and sourcing processes
:: Drive process and supply chain procedures
:: Maintain a thorough understanding of the Pre-Production process, ensuring best practice in systems
:: Review merchandise performance on a regular basis
:: Review the Marketing goals of the company including, planning, scheduling, budgeting and operational requirements
:: Provide direction to the team to establish budgets, report on results and reforecast as required
:: Deliver sustainable financial results to the CEO in line with budget/forecast and market expectation
:: Staff training, mentoring and coaching
:: Liaise with the CEO on key strategic and daily operational matters

To be considered for this role you must possess excellent communication skills and leadership qualities. It is essential you identify the importance of being a team player and are capable of promoting the company's values and visions within the team. Your attention to detail, Ecomms knowledge and people management skills will be powerful tools to bring to this business.

Ideally you will have substantial experience working as a GM gained from within a medium-sized retail business; and understand the requirements of local and offshore garment manufacturing.
