Head of eCommerce

Our client is a Successful Global Premium Retail Business looking to recruit a Head of eCommerce they are known for their detailed designs and craftsmanship, brought to life by the magic of the stories told and interpreted through each hand-finished piece.

They are looking to recruit a new Senior eCommerce Lead who will be responsible for growing eCommerce sales and market share and providing leadership, direction, and expertise across eCommerce trading and merchandising initiatives.

With a customer-centric focus and approach, this role is accountable for delivering the onsite performance across the website. This is a high-profile role that is heavily involved in leading change and the future growth of eCommerce at the Global Brand.

The leader they are searching for has built great experience in eCommerce and can identify trends across the globe to connect with key consumers segments to promote brand loyalty and grow the businesses with respect to digital connectivity, community and brand authenticity to deliver on an integrated omnichannel consumer experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Full trade responsibility for the eCommerce business, driving FY forecasted revenue above budget.
  • Leading a dedicated eCommerce team consisting of acquisition, retention, conversion and creative
  • Ensure all major brand & social campaigns are represented and supported online (with a focus on ROI / conversion)
  • Collaborate with product and planning teams to determine call to action for online sales campaigns
  • Increases brand awareness and sales revenue as a result of digital activities
  • Develop digital marketing and social media strategies and devises online brand and product campaigns to raise awareness, reflecting the brand DNA and creative strategy
  • Developing, leading and executing the Divisional Ecommerce Strategy that facilitates the growth of an online business that maximise online sales, ROI, customer satisfaction whilst controlling expense, costs and margin.
  • Drive growth across digital channels to maximise market share and increase online sales
  • Set KPI benchmarks from analytics and competitive analysis
  • Optimise and deliver Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) and User Experience (UX) strategy to ensure best eCommerce practice for the end to end customer journey and shopping experience online;
  • Oversee key projects and website improvements that support the overarching business growth strategy.
  • Ensure the customer experience is technically flawless to drive incremental sales.
  • Coordinated and executed web development and maintenance projects with external web developers on design and functionality of the eCommerce stores.

This position requires an applicant with skills in:

  • At least 5+ years experience in an eCommerce management role and senior leadership role
  • Demonstrated success in delivering online sales growth
  • Site development, technical and aesthetic expertise
  • Experience in international eCommerce highly regarded.
  • A strong passion for technology whilst understanding the commercial drivers of a large Omni-channel trading organization;
  • Superior analytical performance and optimization understanding which drives online channel sales growth and in-store performance;
  • Demonstrated experience in developing online strategy and development of road maps.
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of eCommerce Platforms and common eCommerce plugins.
  • Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize and deliver high impact initiatives.
  • Be forward-thinking, working on present day strategy as well as preparing for the rapidly evolving future of eCommerce.
